Hello CIS Newsletter Subscriber,
A quick update
The Harrod company completed all site work at our phase I facility as of last Friday, May 27th. The dirt work took a bit longer than expected due to a few changes that we made in the design of the facility. The site is ready, however, and installation of the rail siding and the barbed-wire fence will begin this week. Also, an additional environmental study had to be completed this last month, which slowed progress slightly.
While most of our timelines that we set forth six weeks ago are still in place, some have changed. Expected delivery of machinery will take place next week. New hires will begin with CIS on June 13th.
All hiring, acceptance of resumes or inquiries concerning employment with CIS is closed. We will not be accepting any new resumes until further notice. We are excited about our new team members and look forward to working with these individuals soon.
We hope to have the facility totally complete in the next two to three weeks and ready to run our first intermodal train from Savannah soon thereafter. We anticipate that the inaugural train will run around the 1st of July. In advance of our first train, we will be publishing a special newsletter with pictures of the facility and other up-to-the-minute information about our new company and its menu of services.
Thank you,
